OPST Shank Chuck Tool

You have probably seen it (or a prototype of it) in the OPST fly tying videos. You have called and emailed and asked about it. And now it's here: the OPST Shank Chuck Tool. It took the guys at OPST a long time to dial this one in. The challenge was first, to make a tool that would fit with just about any vice on the planet. They succeeded. If this tool does not fit with your vice, we will refund your money. The second challenge was finding a tool that can both shanks and some tubes- by unscrewing the chuck housing, you can flip the inner chuck one way for shanks and the other way for tubes.

The shank will hold shanks down to the OPST Micro Shanks, which are 0.90mm in diameter.
Tube adaptor inner diameter: 2mm.

Olympic Peninsula Skagit Tactics is a group of steelheaders who focus on Skagit-style swing fishing for everything from king salmon to smallmouth bass. The Skagit River and the Olympic Peninsula have defined OPST's products, the way they fish, and their philosophy.

OPST's program revolves around Skagit casting, the most recently innovated "Spey" or anchor-based type of casting. It is THE preferred methodology because of its wide latitude of angling versatility.

The Sustained Anchor is key to Skagit casting versatility and OPST strives to optimize that effect by utilizing SAS (Sustained Anchor Systemology). By concentrating on SAS, the utmost potential of Skagit casting is achieved. The entire concept is called "Pure Skagit".
