OPST Mega Strong Fluorocarbon Tippet

After struggling with soggy tippet spool labels for years, OPST realised that there was a gaping hole in the tippet spool market: waterproof labels. We set out to right this sad state of affairs. Not only are OPST's fluorocarbon spool labels waterproof, but the tippet itself is strong. How strong? Not super strong. Mega strong. What does that mean? You'll just have to try it and find out. Our fluorocarbon comes in 8, 10, 12, 16, 18 and 20 pound test and come with convenient elastic bands to keep the tippet in check.

Olympic Peninsula Skagit Tactics is a group of steelheaders who focus on Skagit-style swing fishing for everything from king salmon to smallmouth bass. The Skagit River and the Olympic Peninsula have defined OPST's products, the way they fish, and their philosophy.

OPST's program revolves around Skagit casting, the most recently innovated "Spey" or anchor-based type of casting. It is THE preferred methodology because of its wide latitude of angling versatility.

The Sustained Anchor is key to Skagit casting versatility and OPST strives to optimize that effect by utilizing SAS (Sustained Anchor Systemology). By concentrating on SAS, the utmost potential of Skagit casting is achieved. The entire concept is called "Pure Skagit".
